NO to Drugs!
Looking for an excellent natural cure for acid reflux? To
be frank, there is no one such thing available yet. That is
because in the case of acid reflux, the remedy or medicinal
part of the treatment is only one part of the total healing
process. Your diet and stress have to be managed as well to
effectively 'cure' acid reflux.
Acid reflux is a bad enough
condition by itself. You really don't want to get hooked on
the temporary relief that conventional
medicines may offer, and you also don't need to suffer
from any of the side effects of drug treatments, typically
taken to relieve symptoms. It is hard not to be tempted by
the lure of the 'quick fix' products advertised by the drug
companies, but how many of them actually work?
Here are two natural alternatives
that we have researched and found to be as good as they can
get. The first is easy to take, is guaranteed to eradicate
H. pylori and it is going to cost you a bit of money. The
second method is free, but more difficult to take, and it
takes longer to work.
Using BOTH alternatives highly recommended, and may just
sort out your acid reflux for good!
The Easiest and Safest 100% Natural Method
We found a natural
remedy for acid reflux quite by chance.
This remedy is normally used for eradicating h. pylori. the
main cause of stomach ulcers. This is great news for those
of you who are still suffering from Acid Reflux even after
sucking on Prilosec or Nexium for years on end!
But what have ulcers got to do with acid reflux and heartburn?
Good question! One of the interesting things we have found
is that a large number of ulcer sufferers also suffer simultaneously
from acid reflux.
One of the huge benefits of this natural remedy is that it
offers excellent relief, even if you don't make all the recommended
changes to your diet - that's something most of us really
tend to struggle with.

The 'Freeway' to Acid Reflux relief
The other great natural way to relieve acid reflux symptoms
I mentioned earlier revolves around your diet and your lifestyle.
It works really well if you are OK with making some changes
in these departments! But it may prove more difficult to take
for those of you who are pretty much set in your ways.
The upside is that it is free! And it stems from good dietary
and healthy common sense!
The 5 drug-free steps to stabilize acid levels
- STEP 1 - increase your intake of pure water. If
you are not used to drinking water, this may prove difficult,
but it is a good habit you should get into. Start off slowly
and try to reach a point where you are drinking 8 pints
(3 liters) a day. This will sort out any dehydration problems
that we are all prone to, and it is the easiest and healthiest
way to detoxify your system as well.
- STEP 2 - eliminate as much sugar from your diet
as you can - this will not only help in speeding up the
healing process, but also keep your weight down. Don't give
in to cravings - I know it is hard!
- STEP 3 - if you are overweight then it is recommended
that you cut out any foods containing grains for a couple
of weeks. This will also lower your insulin levels.
- STEP 4 - if you don't get enough exposure to natural
sunshine then take some vitamin D3. If you are at work and
the sun is shining, make a plan to go out and soak it up.
There is nothing better on a cold winter's day, especially
if you go to work in the dark, and go home in the dark.
- STEP 5 - this is the hardest part for most of us
- eating 3 or more cloves of freshly crushed garlic every
day! It must be fresh and it must be crushed for it to work
properly - and don't waste your time or your money taking
garlic pills as they are useless for this treatment. You
may lose a few friends temporarily because fresh garlic
can smell a bit! But you can always cut back on the quantities
after a while to get away from the odor problem, or you
can chew on some fresh parsley after eating the garlic.
You may be hooked on a one or more of these vices, but for
your own good, take heed and take control of your body and
your health by observing and acting on the following guidelines.
- If you smoke, stop. Easier said than done but you can
- Avoid drinking alcohol.
- Lose weight if needed.
- Eat smaller portions and take more meals.
- Wear loose-fitting clothes.
- Avoid lying down for at least 3 hours after a meal.
- Raise the head of your bed 6 to 8 inches by putting blocks
of wood under the bedposts - just using extra pillows will
